Throughout May, Chinexita has strengthened its commitment to promoting Spanish companies and institutions internationally in China through various strategic initiatives focused on internationalization, agri-food promotion, and the creation of business opportunities.

Castile and León Takes Center Stage at SIAL Shanghai 2026.

From May 18 to 20, Chinexita designed, coordinated, and managed the entire Castilla y León booth at SIAL Shanghai 2026, Asia’s leading agri-food trade show and one of the industry’s most important international events.

In a space designed to reflect the excellence and quality of the food industry in Castile and León, seven companies from the region were given the opportunity to showcase a wide variety of products to international buyers, distributors, and importers. The selection included iconic products such as ham, wine, chocolate, cookies, and other high-value-added culinary specialties.

In addition, the booth featured a large institutional area dedicated to ICECYL and the Regional Government of Castile and León, reinforcing the region’s image as a leader in the agri-food sector in international markets.

Throughout the three-day trade show, a packed schedule of B2B meetings, business meetings, and networking events took place, aimed at fostering new business opportunities for participating companies.

GO GLOBAL 2026 Conference – IVACE China Branch.

On May 26 and 27, Chinexita participated in Go Global 2026, the leading business internationalization event in the Valencian Community, held in Valencia.

As representatives of the IVACE China Office, we assist Valencian companies interested in exploring opportunities for establishing a presence, expanding, and growing their business in the Chinese market—one of the most dynamic and competitive business environments in the world.

In addition, this year we facilitated the participation of two importers from China, who held meetings with Valencian companies to learn firsthand about their product offerings and evaluate potential business partnerships and import initiatives.

The presence of international buyers made it possible to generate high-value contacts and give Valencian companies with an export focus a better understanding of the actual needs of the Chinese market.

Direct Trade Mission for AREX and the Huesca Chamber of Commerce.

Taking advantage of the SIAL Shanghai 2026 event, Chinexita organized and coordinated a high-impact direct trade mission for four Aragonese wineries, supported by Aragón Exterior (AREX) and the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of the province of Huesca.

The main objective of the mission was to facilitate the participating companies’ access to the Chinese wine market through a combination of market research, meetings with importers, and on-site market analysis.

The mission was organized into several phases, including:

  • Participation in SIAL Shanghai 2026.
  • Market research visits to supermarkets, specialty stores, hotels, and high-end restaurants.
  • Business meetings with selected importers and distributors.
  • Identifying distribution opportunities and consumer trends.
  • Expert advice on exporting wine to China.
  • Professional interpretation services and assistance throughout the business itinerary.

The participating wineries particularly appreciated the direct contact with the market, the quality of the organized meetings, and the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into evolving consumer trends in China.

As one of the participating companies noted, the experience confirmed that international markets can only be fully understood through a direct presence, personal contact, and on-the-ground observation. It also demonstrated that China remains a demanding and highly competitive market, but also one of the most attractive for brands that develop international strategies with a long-term vision.

We continue to create opportunities.

The activities carried out in May reflect Chinexita’s commitment to building commercial bridges between Spain and China. We will continue working to bring these two markets closer together through projects that boost our clients’ international presence.
