
On 24 November 2025, Chinexita held a high-impact professional day in Zurich for DOP Yecla, strengthening the presence and recognition of this Spanish designation in one of Europe’s most strategic markets.
The event took place at Chez Smith, a renowned wine and gastronomy venue in the city, and brought together a select group of 32 industry professionals, including importers, distributors, sommeliers, restaurateurs, and specialised press.
A B2B format designed to generate awareness, contacts and visibility
The event was structured around two key moments:
1. Professional Masterclass led by expert Miguel Zamorano
During a 75-minute session, educator Miguel Zamorano presented 12 Yecla wine references, highlighting the uniqueness of the terroir, the technical quality of the wines, and the potential of Monastrell in the Swiss market. The clarity, rigor, and pedagogical approach of the masterclass were especially praised by attendees, who emphasised “the unique identity of Yecla wines and their remarkable value for money.”



2. Walk-Around Tasting: effective networking and direct conversation
Following the masterclass, guests participated in an exclusive tasting room where DOP Yecla wineries presented an informal walk-around tasting. This format allowed direct exchanges between winery representatives and Swiss professionals.
The space became a key point for opening new business opportunities, fostering long-term relationships, and consolidating Swiss market interest in the region.
