
From Chinexita we celebrate the closing of a decisive year for the international expansion of Monastrell España, marked by two strategic actions in the United Kingdom: a professional masterclass in Manchester and the participation at The Big Christmas Wine Fest in London. Both events are part of a custom-designed promotion plan within the framework of European CMO aid, whose management and justification we assumed from start to finish.
Masterclass in Manchester: a deep insight into the identity of Monastrell.
On October 13, Manchester hosted an outstanding masterclass led by Patrick Schmitt MW, attended by more than 40 industry professionals: importers, distributors, sommeliers, specialized press and opinion leaders with the aim of exploring the richness, diversity and identity of the Monastrell variety.
During the session, attendees were able to discover the commercial potential, historical value and Mediterranean personality that define this ancestral variety. Schmitt highlighted Monastrell as a variety “with deeply Mediterranean roots, capable of offering wines with a unique expression of their origin and a personality that is difficult to match”.



Outstanding presence at The Big Christmas Wine Fest – London.
The latest action of the plan took place in London during The Big Christmas Wine Fest, held on November 21 and 22, 2025 at The Lindley Hall. This was a key consumer show to continue to awaken the British public’s interest in Monastrell and to showcase its commercial potential.
Monastrell España counted with:
- A complete stand with 14 references from its five appellations of origin.
- Three tasting sessions open to the public.
- Pop-up tastings led by MW Tim Atkin and Oz Clarke, where six different wines were presented in dynamic sessions to the audience each day.
Monastrell España’s participation allowed consumers to discover the authenticity, diversity and quality of these Mediterranean wines, strengthening its presence in one of Europe’s most strategic markets.
